Alzheimer’s does a frighteningly sad thing to the human bind, but in some ways, it’s also a beautiful chance to connect across generations.

The clip above is from one of the series’ four films, titled “My Little Friends,” which explores a one-of-a-kind daycare program in New York that brings together young children and elders with dementia. Though these two groups may seem vastly unalike, the connections they form are heartwarming and serve as a good reminder of how much can be communicated without words.
