Bauchi Man dies in a polling unit.
Bauchi State police command has confirmed the death of a 38-year-old man, who slumped and died on a queue at a polling unit in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ion the state, DSP Haruna Mohammed, said the incident
happened on Sarturday, while waiting to be accredited for the governorship election.
Mohammed said: "On Saturday, at about 3:30pm , one Mr. Bulus Tsanmani, male (38) in Bogoro Local Government Area slumped on queue while awaiting accreditation at his polling unit in Gwaranga ward.
"Police patrol team attached to Bogoro division visited the scene and rushed the victim to General Hospital, Bogoro for treatment where he was later certified dead by a medical doctor."
Mohammed said the corpse of the deceased was deposited at the mortuary for post-Morten examination.
The PPRO added that no mark of violence 0r foul play was suspected in the incident, adding that investigation was in progress.
Recall that angry youths in Bogoro Local Government Area of the state allegedly beat up a Councillor from Gizaki/Badagari Ward, Mr. Musa Daniel, to death during Saturday's elections.
The chairperson of the caretaker Committee of Bogoro Council, Mrs. Hassana Arkila, broke the news to newsmen shortly after casting her vote on Saturday.
