Woman Arrested For Hiding Stolen Ballot Papers In Food Cooler

The unfortunate incident which occurred in Arochukwu, Abia state, revealed that the woman who in an attempt to avoid being arrested, said the cooler contained food meant for one of the party agents.

But upon examination by security agents, it was discovered that the cooler contained ballot papers.

The suspect’s arrest came on the heels of al­legations of existence of fake result sheets and ballot papers in
some polling units in the area.

Similarly, voting was also marred by fail­ure of card readers in Abiriba, Nkporo and many wards in Ohafia.

Consequently, the election in the affected areas has been resched­uled for today.
